RTR Training Format 2022

Wednesday Race Training enhances skills already developed with a stronger focus on developing a ski racing technique. This session is for all abilities but has a greater focus on ski racing. The session develops your technique to enhance speed and introduces to a variety of ski racing experiences. Developing your slalom skiing to allow you to complete at regional and national level competitions is a strong focus in these sessions. The focus remains on technique, but this is developed both within set drill courses and through technique developing drills.
Three coaching groups consist of:

Training to train - Further general skill development whilst a strong focus remains on fun and participation. Introduction to how to train and race effectively.

Training to Complete - Major specific skill development. Focus on tactical and technical aspects of racing

Training to Win – Specific technical and tactical enhancement with a focus on using skills under competitive conditions.

Thursday Development Session has a strong emphasis on FUN, the session aims to develop basic FUNdamental movement upon which excellence can be built. To achieve this, we focus on the ABC’S – Agility, Balance, Coordination and Speed Movement. The session aims to introduce basic yet comprehensive habits that allows skiers to develop lifelong skills.
